Creative Dance (C.D.)
We offer three age groups for our C.D. program. These classes offer an entertaining curriculum designed to
introduce young children into the world of dance. We engage the students enthusiasm while working on
motor skills, strength training, balance, rhythm, timing ballet, creativity with songs and games and technique.
At this level of instruction, we emphasize having fun while we learn!

Creative Dance 1- 18mo-2.5yrs old : Students must be age 18mo by September 1st to participate in this 30
minute class. Parents are welcome and encouraged to sit in on this class for the first half of the year.  

Creative Dance 2- 2.5-3.5yrs old: Students must be age 2.5 by September 1st  to participate in this 30
minute class. They perform 2 routines in our annual Spectacular.

Creative Dance 3- 3.5-4.5yrs old: Students must be age 3.5 by September 1st to participate in this 30
minutes class. They perform 2 routines in our annual Spectacular


5-7 yr Combo
This program offers a more structured class whereas students receive 45 minutes of Ballet and Jazz/Hiphop.  
We continue to enhance the student’s motor skills, strength training, balance, timing, awareness of rhythm,
proper dance terminology and interaction with other students and dance steps, technique and combinations.  
The foundation of ballet, jazz, and hip-hop technique will be taught.  The individual instruction our dancers
receive will give them the correct foundation and the fundamentals for their physical and mental
development.  

Combo 1 - This level of dance is for those students who graduated from Creative Dance. This class ranges
from ages 5-6, depending on the ability of each child. They perform Jazz/Hiphop and Ballet routines in our
annual spectacular.

Combo 2 - Students move to this level after completion of Combo 1 and with instructor recommendations.
This class ranges from ages 5-7, depending on the ability of each student.  They perform Jazz/Hiphop and
Ballet routines in our annual spectacular.

Combo 3 – This class ranges from ages 5-7, depending on the ability of each student. They perform
Jazz/Hiphop and Ballet routines in our annual spectacular.

Combo 4- This class ranges from ages 6-7 depending on the ability of each student. They perform
Jazz/Hiphop and Ballet routines in our annual spectacular.


Combination Classes
This program is designed for students who express a desire to dance to train for a career or also for those
who enjoy studying for fun and enjoyment.  Dance is an enjoyable activity that can last a lifetime.   Our
faculty is dedicated to enriching every dancers life with sincere encouragement and personal guidance to
help you achieve your individual goals. This class will participate in our annual spectacular with a ballet and
jazz or hiphop routine.

8-10 Combo 1- Geared towards new students just starting out in dance.  This class will focus on Ballet,
technique and jazz/hiphop The Students perform Jazz/Hiphop and Ballet routines in our annual spectacular.

8-10 Combo 2- This is continuation from 8-10 combo 1 or 5-7 combo 4.  This class ranges from ages 8-10
depending on the ability of each student. They perform Jazz/Hiphop and Ballet routines in our annual
spectacular.

Combos A, B,C, D, E- are open to students by recommendations only.  These classes will focus on a 45
minute ballet class as well as a ½ hr hiphop class.  Instructors carefully place each student in class where
they can progress the most depending on the ability of each student.

Cheernastics
Students will learn the basics of tumbling and mat work, while collaborating with Jazz routines.

Gymnastics
Classes for all levels starting at beginner up to advanced.  Learn gymnastics steps and then put them into
routines.   This class will help develop and define motor skills. Students interested in trying out for their
school cheering squad will benefit greatly, as gymnastics are a must in most squads today.

Twirling
Classes for all levels starting at beginner up to advanced.  Learn twirling movements and then put them into
routines with some dance.

Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres
including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the
body through fluid dance movements.   Contemporary dance stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike
the strict, structured nature of ballet. Contemporary dancers focus on floorwork, using gravity to pull them
down to the floor. This dance genre is often done in bare feet. Contemporary dance can be performed to
many different styles of music. *Ballet Technique is a must

Theater Dance Class
This class focuses on theatre education, including audition techniques, acting, voice, and drama. Students
will learn choreography to Broadway songs.

Ballet
Ballet is the backbone of all dance styles. To excel in other styles of dance ballet is a must. This class
includes correct technique along with proper French terminology.  (Pointe is offered only by teacher
recommendation.)

Hip-hop
An upbeat class that helps develop muscle coordination.  Dance style that is seen on many dance videos.
This class has a full jazz warm-up, followed by a series of jazz steps with a Hip-Hop groove. Combinations
taught will be Hip-Hop. For ages 5-12 Classes Hiphop will be taught with a ballet combo class.


Tap
Explore different rhythmic patterns as tap routines will be taught.

Dance helps students develop their motor skills, Improve balance, Develop social behavior and
creates self-confidence in a non-competitive environment.
